Welcome Home!

Last week Logan and I flew to my parent's house in Colorado Springs, CO to welcome by brother Jeremiah home from his mission. He served in the Macon, GA mission and loved every minute of it!

It was the first time Logan met Jeremiah, she didn't hesitate for a minute. She went right to him and wanted to play.

This is a picture of all of us at the Japanese restaurant, AI. Logan loved watching the food being cooked right in front of her.

While we were at home Logan learned how to run. My family would chase her around the house and she would run away as fast as she could.

My Dad and Logan loved playing "get you"!

Logan's favorite places were in Samantha and Allae's room or the kitchen. She loved playing in the kitchen with my mom's rolling pins, bowls, and cookie cutters!

Logan tried very hard to do a summersault. Can you guess who is who in this picture!

We had such a fun time in Colorado and can't wait to go back! Thank you Mom and Dad for all that you do! Welcome Home Elder McKee!!

Where are you now?

A common question we've been getting lately is "where are you now?" For the past two months we've been all over the place.

In July, Logan and I headed to Colorado and Wyoming to visit my family for a few weeks while Trevor studied and took the TX Bar Exam. We had so much fun! There was never a dull moment. She kept everyone on their toes the whole time. Logan loved playing with her Great Grandma and Grandpa Gormley. While we were in Wyoming she learned how to stand on her own and walk along furniture. She also took her first ride on the 4-wheelers! Logan also loved playing with Schnitzie, my family's dog. Logan loved patting her and poking her every chance she got! My dad also taught logan a lot of 'bad' tricks with her food.

Look at this head dress my mom bought her! Too cute! I've decided Logan is going to be a pink Indian for Halloween! Now I just need to make the dress.

Logan and I then headed back to Williamsburg, met up with Trevor and said good bye to all of our friends, packed the moving truck and headed out to Houston, TX where we'll eventually end up. Once we got to Houston we dropped everything off at a storage unit - Thank you to Stephani for watching Logan while we unloaded the moving truck in 100 degree weather! The next day we were off to Colorado to spend more time with my family.

We had a lot of fun in the Springs. My sisters started school - which meant Seminary also started. My mom is the seminary teacher for their ward. My mom was my seminary teacher for two years and lets just say- she is absolutely an amazing teacher. She is so creative and all of the kids are excited to come and learn!

Allae's 18th Birthday Party!

We then headed to UT to catch up with some friends. We went to Park City for the weekend with Taylor, Sasha and their little Jaxson. Carli also came with us. We rode on the alpine slides and went to Trevor's family ranch and shot clay pigeons (my first time...).

Logan loved to play with Jaxson, her cousin.

Finally - or so we thought - we headed out to Folsom, CA where we'll be until December.  Trevor doesn't start working until the first of January, so we thought we'd spend time with his family.

Last week we headed to Southern California for Bryant's baptism. Then off to Palm Springs to visit Trevor's Grandparents. Every night we had Logan in the pool. It was over 100 degrees the whole time we were there!

We are now back in Folsom, CA, but not for long. Friday we're headed back to Colorado to welcome Jeremiah, my brother, home from his mission!! While Trevor is headed to Boston to drive cross country to Salt Lake City with his brothers Chris and Taylor and his dad.

Sick Day

Logan has caught Trevor's cold. I haven't seen little Logan this sick in a long time.

My two sick kids taking a nap together. Aren't they cute!

Logan's 9 month appointment 3 weeks early!

Logan and I are headed to Colorado on Tuesday and I wanted to get Logan in to see her Doctor before we move. According to Logan's doctor "she is perfect in every way". Which I always find funny when she tells me that - because that is what my mom would tell us kids growing up. Logan's stats are:
  • Height - 27.5 " (63.65%)
  • Weight - 20 lb!! (87.58%)
  • Head Circumference: 18.5 cm (99.34%)
Logan was great! She loves playing with her doctor and showing off.

Today Trevor and I went out to Yorktown for a little photo shoot with Logan.

Trevor stuck her in a cannon.

Logan loved playing with her tutu!

July 4th!

Trevor took a little break from studying to celebrate the 4th of July with us! We went to the 'ice cream social' on the grounds of the Wren Building, where Logan got her face painted for the first time!

Our friends, the Petrins, came over and played and danced with Logan before the fireworks.

We then went back to Colonial Williamsburg (which is a block from our house) for Logan's first fireworks... she wasn't too sure about them, but she was a champ and watched them from the corner of her eye while she nuzzled my chest!

Six and Counting...

Logan has six teeth - four on top and two on the bottom. I've tried many times to get a quick picture of them, but every time she sticks her tongue out at me!

8 Months!

Logan turned 8 months old yesterday! Here are a few things she has been up to...
  • Logan loves being outside. Every chance I get, when I'm not working, we go outside and look at the leaves on the trees, she loves to pull the grass out - tries to sneak a taste when I'm not looking.
  • Loves digging her toes in the sand at the beach.
  • She is trying very hard to walk and crawl... I think she may be walking before she crawls. She can stand on her own and take a few steps - but that's about it. She is also very close to crawling. Logan has been rocking back and forth for sometime, but prefers to go into the 'up dog' position and run in place.
  • Sits up all on her own.
  • Waves at everything and everyone!
  • Loves looking at herself in the mirror.
  • Smiles at everyone she sees.
  • Wants to eat everything she sees Trevor and I eating.
  • Logan will take naps, but doesn't like going to bed at night.
  • Loves visiting Trevor at the library and playing with the librarians.
  • She also has found it very interesting watching her aunts and grandma try to talk and sing to her on Skype.
She is growing soo fast!

Busy Month of May

This past month has been very busy - to say the least.
As soon as finals were over we took a quick trip with our friends, the Adams, to Kitty Hawk, NC. We spent time at the beach, sand duns and the Wright Brothers National Park.

(trying to keep Logan from getting sand in her face.)

Once we got home we finished packing our house only to decide to wait until after Trevor takes the Texas Bar to move. So yes, we are still all packed up - I don't want to have to repack everything again!

Trevor's family came into town a few days before graduation. Logan loved playing with her cousin Jaxson.

Logan and I hiked across campus through the rain to watch Trevor's law school graduation. It was wonderful. Logan and I are so proud of all of his accomplishments.

Finally!

After many months of people asking "do you have a blog", I've finally sat down and created one! As we are about to start a new chapter in our lives, I thought diving into the blogging world would be a great way to keep in touch with all the many friends we have made along the way. Enjoy!
